Frequently Asked Questions
How do credits work?
Each URL check or submission costs 1 credit. You have a single pool of credits you can use for any combination of Indexing and Index Checking.
Do credits expire?
Subscription credits do not roll over month to month. Pay-as-you-go credit packs never expire.
Can I upgrade or downgrade subscriptions later?
Yes! You can change plans anytime. When upgrading, you will be charged the difference between the two plans immediately, allotted the difference in credits immediately, and any remaining credits from your initial plan will be kept and usable until the end of this cycle.
When your next billing cycle begins, you will be charged the new plan's full amount and your credits will reset to the new plan's monthly amount.
If you're downgrading to a smaller plan, nothing changes until your monthly renewal. At that time, you'll be charged the full amount of the new, downgraded plan, and your credits will reset to the new plan's smaller allotment.
You'll be able to use your current plan's full allotment after downgrading until your monthly renewal, at which point any credits beyond your new allotment will not be rolled over.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards through Stripe's secure payment processing.
Do I still get free credits on signup?
Yes. New accounts receive 10 free credits to try the platform before subscribing. We lowered this from 150 due to excessive abuse. Reach out via email or telegram if you need more free credits to test with.
How do the pay-as-you-go credit packs work?
Pay-as-you-go credit packs are one-time purchases for users who do not want a monthly subscription. Those credits are added to your account immediately and do not expire.
Can I have a subscription and buy pay-as-you-go packs?
Yes. If you have both, IndexChex uses your subscription credits first and leaves your pay-as-you-go balance available afterward. Your pay-as-you-go credits stay in your account until you use them.
What happens if I run out of credits?
If you run out of credits, you will need to wait for your next subscription reset, upgrade your plan, or buy a pay-as-you-go pack before starting additional checks or submissions. New credits are applied to your account as soon as the purchase is completed.
What is your refund policy?
Because IndexChex is a digital service, we generally do not offer refunds. If you run into a billing issue or edge case, contact [email protected] so we can review it directly.
