Frequently Asked Questions

Find everything you need to know about IndexChex.

General Questions

What is IndexChex?

IndexChex is a comprehensive Google indexing solution that offers two powerful features: checking if your URLs are indexed by Google's search engine, AND helping get your URLs crawled by Googlebot faster for quicker indexing. You can check up to 10,000 URLs at once and get real-time results, plus submit URLs for accelerated crawling to speed up the indexing process.

How accurate are the results?

Our results are highly accurate because we query Google's search results in real-time. Unlike other tools that rely on cached data or estimations, IndexChex performs actual searches to determine if your URLs appear in Google's index.

What types of URLs can I check?

You can check any publicly accessible URL including websites, blog posts, product pages, landing pages, and more. The URLs must be accessible to Google's crawlers and not blocked by robots.txt or other restrictions.

How fast is the checking process?

IndexChex can process batches of URLs very quickly. Small batches (under 50 URLs) typically complete in seconds, while larger batches may take a few minutes depending on Google's response times and current system load.

How does IndexChex help get my URLs indexed faster?

IndexChex uses proprietary methods to get your URLs noticed by Googlebot much faster than waiting for natural discovery. Our indexing acceleration service typically gets your URLs crawled within hours instead of days or weeks, which significantly speeds up the indexing process for new content or updates.

Credits & Pricing

How does the subscription system work?

IndexChex operates on a simple subscription system where you subscribe and get a monthly credit allotment. 1 credit = 1 URL operation (either checking or submitting for indexing). When you check a URL or submit a URL for faster crawling, one credit is deducted from your account.

Unused credits do not roll over to your next subscription period, but if you upgrade to a higher tier subscription mid-cycle any existing credits do get rolled over until your monthly renewal.

How do the pay-as-you-go credit packs work?

The pay-as-you-go credit packs are exactly what they sound like - if you don't want or need a subscription, you can simply buy these credit packs whenever you do need them. These credits never expire.

Can I have a subscription and buy pay-as-you-go packs?

Yes. If you have an active subscription and a pay-as-you-go balance, your subscription credits will always be used first. Your pay-as-you-go credits do not expire.

Do I get free credits when I sign up?

Yes! Every new user receives 150 free credits when they create an account. This allows you to test our service and see how it works before making any purchases.

What happens if I run out of credits?

When you run out of credits, you won't be able to perform new URL checks until your monthly reset, until you buy a pay-as-you-go credit pack, or until you upgrade your monthly plan. You can change your plan at any time or buy a credit pack from our pricing page, and credits are added to your account instantly.

Do credits rollover/expire?

Subscription plan credits do not rollover from month to month. If you have unused credits when your subscription renews for another month, they are overwritten by your specified monthly allotment. If you upgrade to a new plan mid-cycle, any existing credits are preserved until your next renewal.

For example, let's say you're currently on the Starter plan, and you have 500 credits left. If you upgrade to the Growth plan, you will be immediately charged the difference between the two plans and allotted the difference in credits, plus the existing 500 unused credits you still have. So you'd end up with 20,500 credits.

Upon renewal you'll be charged the full Growth plan pricing and allotted the full 25,000 credits.

Pay-as-you-go credit packs DO NOT expire. They remain in your account until you use them.

What is your refund policy?

Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds due to the digital nature of the service. If you have a specific concern please reach out to [email protected].

Technical Questions

What's the maximum number of URLs I can check at once?

You can check up to 10,000 URLs in a single batch. This limit helps ensure reliable performance and prevents system overload. If you need to check more than 10,000 URLs, you can run multiple batches.

Can I export my results?

Yes! All your check results can be exported as CSV files. This makes it easy to analyze your data, create reports for clients, or integrate the results with your existing SEO tools and workflows.

Do you store my URLs and results?

Yes, we store your check results to provide features like historical tracking and result exports. This data is kept secure and is only accessible by you through your account. You can view our Privacy Policy for detailed information about data handling.

Why might a URL show as "not indexed" even though I can find it on Google?

There are several reasons: Google might have multiple data centers with slight differences, or there could be temporary issues with Google's systems. Our tool checks the most current available data from Google's search results.

Can I check the same URL multiple times?

Yes, you can check the same URL multiple times to track changes in its indexation status over time. Each check will consume one credit, but this allows you to monitor when new pages get indexed or if indexed pages are removed.

What's the difference between checking and submitting URLs?

Checking tells you if a URL is currently indexed by Google - you get an instant yes/no answer. Submitting helps get your URLs crawled by Googlebot faster, which can lead to quicker indexing of new or updated content. Use checking to monitor your current index status, and use submission to accelerate the indexing of important pages.

How long does it take for submitted URLs to get crawled?

Most URLs submitted through IndexChex get crawled by Googlebot within a few hours, though this can vary based on your site's authority, content freshness, and Google's current crawl priorities. This is significantly faster than waiting for natural discovery, which can take days or weeks for new content.

Can I submit URLs that are already indexed?

Yes! Submitting already-indexed URLs can be helpful when you've made important updates to the content and want Google to re-crawl and re-index the page quickly. This is especially useful for time-sensitive updates, price changes, or critical content modifications.
